Stanley Baldwin

B.A. in Chemistry and Kinesiology: Mid-America Nazarene University, 2024

Stanley hails from Colorado and pursued his undergraduate degree in chemistry and kinesiology at Mid-American Nazarene University. While at MNU, Stanley performed research in the lab of Dr. Chelsea Comadoll synthesizing novel bipyridine-based multidentate ligands that would be used to complex and study the uranyl dication. Stanley also took part in the REU program at PSU in 2023, where he saw the light and found our polymer catalysis project to be intriguing. Stanley then enrolled in our Ph.D. program in the fall of 2024 and ultimately re-joined our group in the Spring of 2025. Stanley is continuing his work in our catalysis subgroup, where his interests lie in metal-based photoredox systems.  Outside of the lab,  Stanley enjoys card games, board games, and baseball. He is also a proud KC Chiefs fan (much to his advisor's dismay)!
