Konner Foor

B.S. in Chemistry: Juniata College, 2024

Konner was raised in southwestern Pennsylvania and received his undergraduate degree in chemistry at Juniata College. While there he did research with Dr. John Unger on the synthesis of N-Heterocyclic Carbenes for use in the asymmetric reduction of azirines. He also completed a summer internship at Eurofins doing raw materials testing for pharmaceutical production. Konner enrolled in the Ph.D. program at PSU in the fall of 2024, and was welcomed the group in spring of 2025. He joined the ROMP subgroup to tie his interest in materials science with organic synthesis. On the occasion Konner is not in lab, he enjoys reading, craft beer and strength training.  To find Konner in lab just follow the sounds of distracted lab mates and often he will be the cause.
