B.S. in Chemistry: Rochester Institute of Technology, 2019

M.S. in Materials Science and Engineering: Rochester Institute of Technology, 2020

Daniel was born and raised in western PA, and pursued BS and MS degrees at RIT. There, he worked with Dr. Scott Williams on projects related to inkjet printing, including Metal-Organic Decomposition inks, as well as collaborative projects with MetalCraft Inc. and BASF. For his MS project, he worked with Dr. Thomas W. Smith to investigate the Fries rearrangement of poly(acetoxystyrene) to poly(hydroxyacetophenone). In the fall of 2020, he ventured back to PA and enrolled at PSU, where he joined the Elacqua and Hickey groups as a co-advised student to investigate methods of depolymerizing and functionalizing commodity polymers. Outside of the lab, he enjoys playing video games, drawing, and learning about animals.
